Our Mountain & Pine Communities

ABOUT OUR MOUNTAIN & PINE COMMUNITIES

Snowcapped mountains and vast forests are typical of the Thompson-Nicola region. There are three main areas in the Thompson-Nicola that boast mountainous terrain covered with pine trees and other coniferous varieties, and deciduous trees - The South Cariboo to Fraser Canyon Corridor, the North Thompson Corridor and the Southern Central Corridor. Alpine flowers, meadows, lakes and forests may be found in our northern areas as well as areas surrounding our desert areas.

Commercial productions may wish to take advantage of Sun Peaks Mountain Resort's annual Alpine Blossom Season (embed http://www.sunpeaksresort.com/activities/events/calendar.aspxand its festivities) July 16 - August 15.
