British Columbia's Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) 12%
In August 2011, the HST was rejected by BC voters. As the provincial government strategizes, the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of BC "The Voice & Vision of BC's Film Industry" is working with the province in the film industry's best interests. For updated information, please refer to MPPIA's web site (here).
In the meantime, the HST is still effective and is recoverable.
